An independent brewery on an unlikely housing estate in Battersea, Sambrook's was set up in August 2008 to give London drinkers some local brews to choose from. Wandle is the result - the only ale they brew here - a deep amber ale which gets its name from the nearby River Wandle which runs through Wandsworth. Founders Duncan Sambrook and David Welsh combine Duncan's youthful enthusiasm with David's years of experience as managing director of Hampshire's Ringwood Brewery. The result is an excellent addition to London's brewing scene.
