Sister to Shoreditch Grind, an east London landmark often named best flat white in London, Soho Grind is an all day and late night espresso bar with its own custom blend of coffee, developed especially for Soho. Like the original Shoreditch cafe, launched in 2011 by DJ and musician Kaz James and entrepreneur David Abrahamovitch, Soho Grind specialises in the kind of punchy but smooth espresso coffee you get in Melbourne. But Soho Grind goes one step further with a hidden speak-easy in the basement, revealed by a sliding wall, where cocktails include the now-famous Grind Espresso Martini and Hot Flat White Russian, offered in addition to cocktails created especially for Soho. Alongside coffee and cocktails, Soho Grind has an all-day food offering from pastries, muesli and fruit in the mornings to seasonal and fresh Italian inspired food at lunch, followed by an evening menu of aperitivo and small sharing plates.
