A pub with no bar, the Stoke Newington Tea House does things a little differently. Tea tastes precedence over beer - though there are craft ales, lagers and bitters too. But tea is the hero product here. There are over 100 styles of brews - displayed on a vaulted bookcase - to cover all your tea drinking needs from early morning through to evening. Loose leaf, light, dark or green, subtle and strong, classic and fruity infusions are all on offer and there are six special mixtures each day for those who want to experiment with new flavours. Sip on a cup of Darjeeling in one of the pub's many booths or venture into the heated garden. Food comes as an all-day brunch with freshly baked bread from local Stoke Newington bakery, small plates of British tapas, classic British pub food and Sunday roasts. Those with a sweet tooth can also delight in baked cakes like red velvet, coffee and walnut, as well as tea infused desserts. The Great British cuppa married to another British institution: the pub.
