On the unlovely part of Kilburn High Road, next to Greggs and Primark, The Betsy Smith is a breath of fresh air with its charmingly quirky interiors, cool cocktails and delicious, affordable pizzas. Food is served all day, flamingos hang upside down from the ceiling, and there are nooks and crannies so you can find a place to enjoy your dinks in private. From the same stable as the team that brought you The Winchester in Islington and The Lodge Tavern in Ealing Broadway, The Betsy Smith follows the same formula of quirky interiors and cool cocktails. The interior by Michaela Reysenn and Landis Middleton of Kai Design is filled with fantasy - with one section overshadowed by bird cages called The Aviary and another badger filled den called The Burrow - and there are special events and activities laid on including a pub quiz, salsa speed dating, live music, sports screenings, and special guest DJs on the weekend. Betsy injects a welcome stab of fantasy and fun onto Kilburn High Road.
