Visitor Information
The famous Backyard Comedy Club, one of East London's hottest comedy spots, was originally opened in 2000 by comedian Lee Hurst. In 2004 the comedian ran for London mayoral elections to fight redevelopment and save the club but in 2010 it was finally razed to the ground. However, three years later it returned to the same site at 231 Cambridge Heath Rd, Bethnal Green, as a brand new purpose built comedy club.
