On the former site of Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, Mothership Group - the team behind much-loved London venues The Queen of Hoxton and The Book Club - delivers live music venue Colours. Offering up and coming artists and promoters a space to put on experimental events, the bar and club promotes inclusive and accessible culture. The interior, designed by Mare Street Market's outfitters, features an exhibition by Fred Butler, the brains behind Lady Gaga's Telephone Hat. Billed as 'the most colourful bar in London', the main live music room is fitted with a LED lighting installation designed by Burning Man lighting sculptor Christopher Schard. Gigs and club-nights are programmed in collaboration with Village Underground and EartH so you can expect residencies from inclusive LGBTQ+ Bollywood powerhouse Hungama, girl power gang Pussy Palace, house, disco and techno party Naturalia and the female-led immersive collective Shotgun Carousel. The smaller SuperCulture room is an incubator space by day, host to cutting-edge cultural events by night with something on every weeknight - from an 'after school' club with creative networking app Daisie to hip hop yoga. Live shows at the launch include performances from BBC 1Xtra favourite RuthAnne, disco pop duo Ekkah and indie rockers No Hot Ashes.
