In the 1960's, Eel Pie Island in Richmond was the home of the British Blues. This quiet area of West London boasted some of the best blues clubs in the world. The Crawdaddy Club, The Station Hotel, The Richmond Athletic Ground, The Imperial, and L 'Auberge all saw original early-60s performances by The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart BEFORE they were famous. It's no word of a lie to say that the Eel Pie Club bore witness to the birth of Britain's pop supremacy.
