Founded by Marie Rambert in 1926, who was heavily influenced by her work with Diaghilev, Stravinsky and the Ballet Russes, Rambert dance company is one of the pioneering groups for modern dance in the UK. The company is renowned for its bold, risk-taking work and use of live music - it's the only UK-based contemporary dance company always to tour with an orchestra. In 2013, after 12 years of planning Rambert moved to a new purpose-built £19 million headquarters in the South Bank area of London.
