A floating park in the Paddington Basin brings a beautiful green space to a forgotten section of the Grand Union Canal. Former Royal Horticultural Society Young Garden Designer of the Year Tony Woods led the design, creating the Floating Pocket Park as a decked garden and unusual green space; a peaceful oasis for people to enjoy. Reviving the canals, once the arteries of this part of the city, the floating platform includes a pavilion to provide support for plants and shade for visitors as well as an events area which can accommodate up to 120 people. Open lawn areas, nectar-rich mixed raised borders, communal seating, decked platforms and walkways not only encourage wildlife but also create a park where you can miraculously walk on water.
