From May 2014, London 2012's Hockey Centre becomes the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. The first rate facilities include two hockey pitches within a 3,000-seat hockey stadium which can increase capacity to 15,000 for major events. There are four indoor tennis courts and six outdoor courts, available to the public throughout the day and evening, all year round, and a £30 million clubhouse with changing rooms, bar and seating areas. Having hosted the Wheelchair Tennis at the 2012 Games, Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre continues to promote and serve the sport, providing coaching and facilities for local and national players, as well as hosting the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters from 2014-16 and the 2015 EuroHockey Championships. But the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre isn't just for the best athletes, it's also there to encourage local players and beginners and provides an inspiring environment to learn and improve.
