Perched right on the corner where Bellevue Road meets St James's Drive, seconds from Wandsworth Common station, The Hope is one of the best loved watering holes in this part of southwest London. Known for al fresco summer drinks by the Common and for nesting in through the winter nursing a hot toddy, The Hope was given a refresh in November 2015 making the most of original features like the large windows allowing natural light into the dining room. Exposed brick walls are made cosier with blue wainscoting and mismatched furniture - soft leather sofas and stools in rich red, mustard and warm brown tones and reclaimed church pew benches - sits alongside vintage-style wooden dining chairs. At the bar, discerning drinkers have five real ales on draught as well as bottles and taps beers and craft beers. Soak up with s mall plates or go for the full Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Chargrilled merguez sausages, British sprats and BBQ pulled pork sliders are also on the menu as are build-your-own beef burgers tailored to your taste.
