Molton House is a stylish restaurant, cocktail bar and club on South Molton Street directly opposite Browns, Joan Burstein's well-known designer clothes store. Brought to you by Nick Valentine, co-founder of The Cuckoo Club, the interior of the five-storey Georgian townhouse has been designed by Blacksheep, the team behind Hermes' London headquarters, Voyage flagship store in Conduit Street and Inamo restaurant on Wardour Street. The decor is based on a 'Regal and Rhiad' theme with faux snake, stingray and ostrich skin for the sofas and a stained glass peacock DJ booth. Since opening its doors in November 2008, Molton House has made quite an impact in the upmarket clubbing stakes, beating the likes of the Groucho Club, Soho House and Electric Brasserie to the title of Best Members Club at the London Club and Bar Awards in 2009. Despite the members-only aspect, Molton House is open to non-members too.
