Visitor Information
Bluejay is a very unusual find on this part of the Uxbridge Road, a classy jazz club with a sleek interior, lounge atmosphere and a smart dresscode(or at least no trainers and caps). It's been open for years but since coming under the direction of Richard Bird the place has gone from strength to strength, showcasing some serious jazz talent.
Nights range from the purest New Orleans to more modern latin and house-y Jazz, and there have been some fantastic surprise performers here - the main attraction however is the crowd. Bluejay gets packed most nights with crowds of cheerful Shepherd's Bush locals clearly enjoying the chance to put on their best clothes and listen to some cool music in a plush but friendly venue, where style and sophistication are combined with an unpretentious attitude and honest drinks prices.
Bluejay is an unusual but excellent choice for a night out.
