On the High Street in Wimbledon Village, the Dog and Fox pub has a restaurant, rooms and a picturesque beer garden. The outside terrace at this pub which dates back to the 1800s is perfect for al fresco drinking and dining. Cosy yet elegant, the stylish interior features sumptuous fabrics, leafy plants and cosy curtained corners while the 17 rooms are all individually decorated and the top suite has a roll top double bath. Full of character, the pub itself has oak panelled walls, intimate lighting, leather banquettes, elegant mirrors and classic pictures adorning the walls. There are hand pulled real ales and continental lagers, along with an impressive wine list. Using fresh, seasonal British produce, the menu features delicious dishes like Gressingham reared duck with thyme, ham hock and pea risotto, beer battered haddock with tartare sauce and hand cut chips or butternut squash tagliatelle with pine nuts. A banquet table is perfect for larger groups and when Wimbledon's on they screen all the games and have a burger shack out the back.
