Modern all-day Greek restaurant specialising in simple, authentic Greek cuisine, Hungry Donkey has been inspired by classic Greek street food. Open from breakfast, the menu includes a selection of fresh sourdough sandwiches and Greek brunch - eggs sunny side up, Greek sausage, mushroom and onion on sourdough bread or Strapatsada (fresh tomato scrambled eggs topped with Cretan mizithra cheese) are a great way to start the day. Sourdough sandwiches come with pastrami, tomato, onion and lemon vinaigrette, or fava bean puree, lettuce, tomato as well as Greek salami and a ll the dishes use fresh, seasonal ingredients. First launched in April 2015 by owner Markos Tsimikalis, this Greek kitchen in east London offers a contemporary and casual setting to enjoy souvlaki pitas, souvlaki skewers from the Robata grill and moussaka with Greek wines, craft beers, spirits and cocktails.
