His first venture since defecting from the much-lauded 192 Kensington Park Road where he resided for 20 years, Rowley Leigh finally has his name over the door - and on the deeds. Bringing his distinctive brand of classic French cooking and legendary roasts to Bayswater, he's turned a vast space on the second floor of Whiteleys, complete with its own entrance in Porchester Gardens, into a magnificent eatery - a far cry from the chips and burgers formerly served up under the golden arches of a McDonald's. Kensington Park Road fans, keeping a close eye on what Leigh is up to, can breath a sigh of relief, safe in the knowledge they have somewhere decent to eat - and thankfully not too far from Notting Hill. Rave reviews have poured in from friends and professional critics alike.
