Marco Pierre White needs no introduction. Anyone who's eaten at any number of his restaurants - Mirabelle, The Oak Room, Luciano, Frankie's (the family restaurant chain he runs as a joint venture with jockey Frankie Dettori) - will know him and his reputation only too well. Or, failing that - the prices aren't for those on a budget, after all - his appearance on 'Hell's Kitchen' was pretty unforgettable (he was the scary one with the big ego and a bandage around his head who repeatedly demanded respect, yes chef). Now he's turning his attention to the Chelsea football ground where his latest venture, named Marco after one of his sons, is found. Head chef Matthew Brown knows how Marco works having partnered with him for 16 years at The Restaurant at Hyde Park Hotel, The Oak Room, the Belvedere and The Highwayman. Although Marco is no longer actually in the kitchen you still get his classic French cuisine with dishes like foie gras wrapped in cabbage and rib-eye with snails. There's a more traditional British menu on match days to cater for the VIP supporters - shepherd's pie, roast partridge, smoked haddock with cheese on top. No one disputes that this food is worth paying for.
