Located a stone's throw away from Oxford Street, Nordic is a Scandinavian bar that brings together food, drinks and traditional events from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. As well as a palate friendly selection of burgers, sandwiches and platters, the bar also serves a number of traditional Scandinavian dishes - obviously. Diners can feast on Kottbullar (Swedish meatballs) with mashed potatoes, cream sauce and lingonberry jam; Pytt I Panna, pan-fried potato, bacon and sausages topped with a fried egg; and, for the adventurous type, a Smorgasbord of pickled herring, crayfish tails, fried Norwegian cheese with lingonberry jam and potato wedges. During the week the bar is a great place to relax and have a game of table football or ping pong, while Friday nights offer DJ sets until the early hours. There's also a regular calendar of events celebrating traditional Scandinavian occasions.
