Visitor Information
The Palms of Goa offers comparatively authentic Indian food, tempered to account for European palates. This doesn't mean that they skimp on the spices, what it does mean is instead of 'how hot can you go?' you get subtle tongue tingling flavours. Goan specialities include Pumpkin Curry in a medium hot coconut sauce based on the Manglorian style, Green Chicken Masala with coriander giving it the green colouring and charcoal grilled Chicken Cafreal. All are affordable - yours for under a tenner - and won't over-face you like so many Indian restaurants. For afters, we recommend the mango ice cream with a touch of cardamom. The Palms, set up by Eugine Dias and Shabdin Gharuk and first opened in 1994, has three locations in central London where you can get reliable, affordable everyday Indian food.
