SwadeshThis small and cosy Indian on Lordship Lane is a great local curry house in East Dulwich that is perfect for everything from last-minute mid-week meals to parties and fun family nights out. Swadesh is loved by locals for their interesting and diverse Indian menu which steers clear from the regular curry house fare, and the glass-fronted dining room is smart and clean with wooden floors, leather banquettes and a cheery ambience. Popular items from the Swadesh menu include the Zafrani fish tikka roasted with saffron and fresh herbs; the smoked lamb dumplings with Lucknawi spices; and the aloo bora, deep-fried mashed potato stuffed with mint and ginger.
