Camden's Buck Street Market, the first of Camden's markets if you head up the high street from Camden Town Tube Station, has undergone a reinvention, with recycled shipping containers similar to those used at Boxpark and Pop Brixton. Architect Eric Reynolds, one of the pioneers of Camden Market's rejuvenation in the 1970s, and his company Urban Space Management worked with LabTech, who also own Camden Market, on the changes. The 88 containers are stacked over three levels, housing over 70 independent traders with the emphasis on sustainable food traders and ethical fashion brands. Among twenty-six sustainable food brands, all of which have vegan or vegetarian options on their menus, are Miguel Barclay, famous for his One Pound Meals, who's opening New York style pizzeria Miguel's Pizza, and 28-year-old Irish chef Adrian Martin with Wildflower, his debut fine dining restaurant focusing on foraged food and seasonal menus. Alongside the food offering are over fifty ethical fashion traders selling everything from eco-conscious loose leaf tea to hand-painted London artwork.
