This is a sister shop to the delightful Daunt Books situated in Marylebone High Street, London, an original Edwardian bookshop with long oak galleries and wonderful skylights. This branch in Holland Park Avenue follows the same referencing system with books arranged by country and large sections devoted to gardening, cookery, style and interior design as well as plenty of back-list books, recent bestsellers and an excellent, well-stocked children's section all enticingly displayed. Regular talks by eminent authors take place at all of the Daunt book shops (there are two more at Belsize Park, NW3 4QL, and Hampstead, NW3 2QB) and the ticket price for the talks includes a glass of pre-talk wine - how very civilised.
