Fred Perry in Spitalfields Market is the twelfth shop dedicated to the sportswear brand and its first concept shop, featuring a poured concrete floor and flexible floor space which can be changed according to the product being showcased. Think of old black and white footage of Wimbledon tennis championships and you'll most likely think of Fred Perry. The distinctive laurel leaf crown emblem on the players' sports T-shirts instantly beamed the brand into millions of sitting rooms across the world. That was back in the 1940s and that association with the sport continues today. Making the transition from court to street, Fred Perry has entered into collaborations with Comme des Garcons and Jessica Ogden for limited edition lines giving the brand added kudos.
