This unusual fruit and veg shop in Greenwich is certainly worth the detour from the main high street. It's just a short walk away, a left hand turn after the Greenwich Picturehouse if you're walking up Greenwich High Road in a lovely street where there is a cluster of little shops including Drings the butcher and The Cheese Board. The Creaky Shed sells mainly seasonal veggies so, come Halloween time, it gets packed with pumpkins which take up the entire window display. Inside resembles an allotment shed which makes it a bit dark and earthy but the colourful produce and friendly staff more than make up for it. If you're making a day trip of it, stop off for lunch at the Greenwich Union a few doors down and sample their home brews.
