Supplying many of London's top hotels, restaurants and delis, Vallebona is the family business which began in Sardinia and moved to London from there 16 years ago. It started with owner Stefano Vallebona selling bottagra (or Sardinian caviar) out of a suitcase to top London restaurants. Since then it has grown into a four warehouse operation and a deli designed by Stefano's Japanese wife, Naoko, who has brought with her a twist in design and display which make the place a far cry from your average deli. As well as supplying top restaurants Vallebona also stages pop up dinners where food experts - including the likes of Jacob from Bocca Di Lupo - do the cooking. They also offer Vallebona lunches where guests can book private parties with food provided by their in-house chef. The main focus, however, is the deli with its award winning cheese and meats room where a vast array of Italian products is beautifully displayed including new and exciting varieties like lamb prosciutto, seaweed toma or truffle pecorino.
