Perched on a hill, this garden centre is sheltered from the gusty winds by Alexandra Palace. Justly regarded as one of London’s best, it’s one of the largest and is comprehensively kitted out with a colourful array of plants from seasonal bedding plants to towering herbs, trees and shrubs. For a more exotic garden or conservatory, you can pick-up lots of innovative ideas for fun greenery including avocado trees, Venus Flytraps and monkey puzzles. Inside there is also a vast expanse of gardening goodies and gifts that make ideal presents.
