A vertiable treasure trove for antiques, vintage and retro furniture and furnishings, The Old Cinema in Chiswick is the place to go for, say, a 1950s pink Formica hostess trolley. The choice is huge - from brown antiques to a pair of YSL shoes - and the stock changes frequently. Despite the deceptively small street-fronting space, this place keeps on giving with hidden depths and corners to delve into all of which is repeated upstairs. There may no longer be old flicks shown at The Old Cinema but the movies have been replaced with furniture, jewellery and refurbished telephones that are just as likely to keep you entertained for hours.
