League One side Brentford FC play their home games at Griffin Park in Hounslow, west London. Located in a largely residential area, the 12,763-capacity venue has the intriguing accolade of being the only English league football ground to have a pub on each corner of the stadium. In fact, the ground gets its name from the griffin the features in the logo of Fuller's Brewery, which at one point owned the land on which the stadium was built. Given Griffin Park's location beneath the flightpath of Heathrow Airport, the roofs of the stadium are used as a large advertising space. In the past, The Bees have shared their ground with the London Broncos rugby league team and also the Chelsea FC reserves and youth team. The future of Griffin Park is up in the air, with Brentford aiming to move to a new 20,000-capacity stadium to be built nearby, leaving the current home to be redeveloped into residential housing.
