London Regatta Centre
The London Regatta Centre, a state-of-the-art rowing centre located in the heart of the Docklands in the East End of London, is built at the west end of the Royal Albert Dock directly opposite London City Airport. The centre boasts a 2,000m course, with seven lanes plus a return lane. Amongst the centre's other facilities are a rowing tank. The centre is two minutes walk from Royal Albert Docklands Light Railway station. Two University of London schools (Queen Mary, University of London Boat Club and St Bartholomew's and the London Hospitals' Boat Club) are based at the Regatta Centre. The centre also hosts the annual London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival, organised by the Chinatown Lions Club.
