Visitor Information
High up on the 52nd floor of the highest hotel in Western Europe sits the highest pool in Western Europe. The 11 by 4 metre heated Skypool offers a tranquil escape for guests of the Shangri-La Hotel (staying at the luxury hotel for a dizzying £450 per night). At night the separation screens are drawn back as the sun sets and the pool becomes part of Gong, the hotel's hip bar and the highest place to sip cocktails in London. The pool is overshadowed by an oversized 'paint scroll' which appears to float overhead as swimmers do their lengths while looking west across the City, taking in views of St Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye and Westminster. If you really want to push the boat out, the 30-cover poolside area can also be hired for the most spectacular sky-high party.
