Sister pub to The Palmerston on Lordship Lane, The Herne Tavern is quite a different offering and is ideally suited to families with its large outdoor area and climbing frame which gets the thumbs up from parents who want to enjoy a pint. But as well as being the best family pub in the area, The Herne Tavern also has a large bar and separate (more sedate) dining area serving above average food for this kind of setting.
