For fans of Latium restaurant in Fitzrovia - and fans of Italian food - the arrival of chef Maurizio Morelli's second venture, Briciole in Marylebone, comes as welcome news. Maitre d' Umberto Tosi has moved from Latium to manage the Homer Street trattoria which also has a deli and bar area where you can enjoy an aperitif or cup of coffee and a plate of artisan prosciutti and salumi, cheeses and delicacies. Pot pub) with solid wood floors, plenty of natural light, and a small
outside area. The food is simple Italian 'trattoria' cuisine with meatballs served with pizzaiola sauce, fennel flavoured sausage with sprouting broccoli and tiramisu for dessert. Given this is central London, the prices are really very good and not just for the food, wine-lovers take note: the all-Italian wine list of 160 bins offers excellent value and the list itself is quite interesting too, featuring some less known small regional producers.
