Hotels in Paddington

The only neighbourhood in London famed for a polite duffle coat-wearing Peruvian bear with a penchant for marmalade sandwiches, Paddington is centred around the Paddington Basin and its Isambard Kingdom Brunel-designed station, which contains a statue of the classic children's fictional character Paddington Bear. Princes William and Harry were both born in the area's St Mary's Hospital, while Little Venice has become a popular spot at the junction of Regent's Canal and the Paddington arm of the Grand Union Canal. The neighbourhood was subject of a BBC fly-on-the-wall docu-soap in the late 90s called Paddington Green, which explored the lives of residents in the area and was narrated by Ross Kemp, aka Grant in the soap opera EastEnders. More
