    Hotels in SE3

Named after the large open public grassland which separates it from Greenwich and Lewisham, Blackheath, which makes up most of SE3, is a largely smart residential area renowned for its substantial Georgian and Victorian houses. The heath hosts a free annual firework display on Bonfire Night which attracts 40,000 spectators and is perhaps the most popular in London. The first Golf Club in England was founded at Blackheath by James I in 1608 while Blackheath's Hockey and Rugby Clubs are the oldest of their kind in the world. Also contributing to SE3 are Kidbrooke, whose Ferrier Estate is one of the largest and most deprived council housing developments in London, and Westcombe Park, which boats an attractive four-storey Georgian villa called Woodlands House. The London Marathon takes runners though the Westcombe Park and Blackheath area each year in April. More
