Muted colours and marble floors give the sense of an elegant private home - though one that is kept in absolutely spotless condition and contains a panelled library, cosy conservatory and an award-winning restaurant. The epitome of English style.

On their second or third visit one guest can’t say enough about the Chesterfield Mayfair: they like the location, “comfortable rooms with very thoughtful amenities (stapler, highlighters etc. in the desk), excellent service and friendly staff (who speak English fluently – not always the case in London)”. It’s the popular consensus on this “elegant and inviting” hotel which is “not cheap but at least you get what you pay for (often in London you don't!)”. One couple “discovered the Chesterfield by accident; and what an extraordinary pleasurable accident it was. A four star hotel, seven star service!” “Attention to detail, warmth of the staff, choice of food” were all praised as “excellent”. Another guest “also appreciated that everything was included (so there were) no surprises”.

It was only an overnight stay so my feedback is limited. I
do like the hotel, the decor, the location and the staff was

The customer service was exemplary! The hotel a little tired and run down but the service made up for this and more. the staff went above and beyond what was expected and for this reason alone (and the fabulous breakfast) we can not recommend this Hotel highly enough! |

I spent my career working for international airlines so have stayed at numerous 5 star hotels worldwide. This was unquestionably the best stay I have ever had at anything like the price I paid. Absolutely first class. The sevice was superb and the staff were not always looking for a tip as in so many hotels. My only regret was that I didn't discover the Chesterfield 40 years ago.
Please pass on my comments to the management and staff at the Chesterfield.
