There is something quintessentially English about staying in an 18th century mansion overlooking Grosvenor Square. The hotel has retained many of it's original features and although not all rooms look out onto the elegant square, they are tasteful and well-kept. When you step away from this peaceful location in the heart of Mayfair, you'll find yourself right in the buzz with Bond Street Shopping and West End Theatres close by. After a long day out you can unwind in their award wining Italian restaurant, Avista.

The reception staff were very friendly and curtious. The room itself was a good size with nice decor and was nice and clean. We enjoyed the evening in the bar area with the live piano singer. A very enjoyable stay and would recommend.

The room was old, moldy, noisy, and I could not breathe or sleep for 3 nights. There were children screaming all night and running up and down the hall. When I finally complained and moved rooms the room was better, did not have mold and. I slept, but the bathtub faucet was so weird that the floor kept getting wet. There were improper shower curtains. The breakfast was not worth the extra. I spent to have it and there are too many nicer hotels for the same price point to stay in.
