I'd seen the Hotel before during a previous visit to London and my most recent trip afforded me the opportunity to stay here. I contacted the Hotel directly to enquire about a booking and was impressed with the way my call was handled.
On arrival, Fabio (who also had spoken to me previously) was very welcoming and helpful, and asking if I needed any help carrying my bags to my room on the 3rd floor (having been in a car for a five hour journey, I was more than pleased to do it myself!)
Fabio also gave me details of surrounding car parks - the one on nearby Moxon Street being the best. However having arrived just after 6:30 I took the car around the adjacent Montagu Square where there was ample street Parking where the meters didn't clock on until 08:30.
If you take a photo or details of the "Pay to Park" sign and can remember your registration number (I couldn't!!) you can pay on your card from the comfort of your Hotel Room the following morning !! (Make sure not to park on the residents only bays)
The Bedroom was very comfortably appointed. It was a very good size, well furnished with a large Double Bed, two armchairs, a work desk and obviously finished to a very high standard both in terms of Décor and Design. Also there were various comforts thrown in such as a well-stocked Tea/Coffee/Chocolate station (with a couple of biscuits!) and a selection of fresh fruit which I thought was a nice touch.
The Bathroom was great. I had asked for a shower room out of preference but this room provided a large double walk-in shower and a roll top bath. The quality bathroom fittings together with a very high standard of cleanliness were much appreciated. In addition the Molton Brown bath/shower products helped enhance the overall impression.
I didn't dine at the Hotel but they have a link to a nearby Thai Restaurant and their menu, available for delivery, is printed in the room's Hotel Information Book.
The bed was, for me, very comfortable with good quality sheets and the room was kept to temperature by discreet air conditioning which could easily be turned off if required but didn't intrude on the night's sleep.
Breakfast was more than sufficient. I was offered a choice of fried/boiled/poached eggs. Soft boiled was the order for the day and they duly arrived few minutes later perfectly done together with a couple of slices of toast for soldiers! This, together with fresh orange juice and cereal made a great start to the day. There was also a choice of meats, cheeses, fruits etc. which could have supplemented my selection.
Checkout was smooth and fuss free, payment taken and receipts issued with no delay.
The Hotel is very well run, decorated to a high quality and provides a tranquil haven to escape the bustle of the London Streets. I thoroughly appreciated my stay there and will be returning again when I'm next in London.
Thanks to the Staff who looked after me especially Fabio, Marta and the young lady on Reception in the morning.
Stayed for one night on Marathon weekend. Staff helpful and obliging but other guests a nightmare.
Had a sleepless Saturday night due to noise from other rooms and stairway.
Stayed for one night on Marathon weekend. Staff helpful and obliging but other guests a nightmare. Had a sleepless Saturday night due to noise from other rooms and stairway. Comfy room was very small with just enough room for the bed - apart from that generally clean and tidy. Didn't try the breakfast but £11-£15 is expensive for a continental style breakfast. Staff were sympathetic to our complaint and we were only offered a small discount on our next booking. Sorry , but I'd rather stay at a Premier Inn - they have a good night guarantee and will honour any complaint.

We loved our stay at the Montagu Place Hotel because of its privileged position and fine decor. The main underground lines and classic London red buses are just a few minutes' walk away, which was great for us as we only had a few days in the city this time round. The hotel in located in a quiet road in the heart of Marylebone, aka quintessential London, just off Baker Street where you can find many Starbucks, Prets, supermarkets and the likes. It was fun to roam the red-bricked streets and browse the shops around Marylebone High Street. From there we could easily walk the beautiful areas of Mayfair and Oxford Street, also very close to the hotel. Our room was freshly decorated and had a warm, cosy feel to it. The bathroom was modern and clean. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. We will be going back for sure !

Boutique hotel, perhaps 30-some rooms. As had been suggested in previous reviews we booked the back of the hotel, top floor to get away from the "noise." Frankly the street was not heavily traveled so we wouldn't shy from booking a room in the front of the hotel and the swanky rooms were much larger. The room was on the smaller side but comfortable and extremely clean. Staff were very professional, always ready to help, simply cannot say enough of how sharp this group was! Entire hotel was very clean and neat, this is the only place we will be staying at when we return to London. Thanks to Giulia, Natalie, Cristian and especially Fabio. To the ownership - great place, outstanding staff and you will see us again!

Obviously, it would get a fiver if compared to any random hotel. It's as clean and well-designed in the georgian style, as a boutique hotel should be. Staff is nice and available and breakfast is quite enjoyable in the living room. The hotel is well-located for business. But - and that's my personal taste -, for that price, rooms are too small and I missed the touch of sober creativity I would seek in a boutique hotel to be overwhelmed.
